Cindy Lou...................WHO?

     Hey guys! I hope all of your summers are going well and there is lots of hot ass weather and poolside activities involved because all I'm getting is rain and clouds lol. I had to get on here and tell you guys the amazing-ness I just came across not too long ago. As the kid who loves fashion and is A.D.D when it comes to his style I am already over summer as far as my wardrobe goes and looking to see what turns me on from the fall collections. In my pursuit of inspiration I started looking through the Fall 13' Haute Couture collections and came across Gaultier and all I can say is YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!

      This collection gave me every bit and piece of Cindy Lou Who meets Cruella De'Vil realness. There was a lot of color, bold color, mostly jewel tones which is usually the go-to palette for fall as well as a reoccurring theme of leopard in every look. When I think of Haute Couture I think of fantasy, high-end, avant-garde, and looks that are not everyday looks, Gaultier gave me all of that and then some. Small waists and exaggerated hips (very hour glass) were showcased in just about every look as well as pill box hats, fun cone like hair-do's, and fur. One more interesting touch in this collection was the use of what looks like scuba material that creates these bouncy-house-esq looking dresses and pants. Overall I loved this collection, I cant wait to look through the others!

Underground Flyy

"Vice" NewKult

OK so I came across this awesome retailer through some likes on Instagram called BMAmodified. This apparel, and jewelry line is an underground one based out of L.A and it totally fits everything about that aesthetic. I first fell in love with the "Vice" sweatshirt, which has a big ass Medusa head on the front, by NewKult which is a brand carried by BMA that specializes in shirts using various computer graphics. Once I actually visited the website for BMA modified I was then interested to find out what New Kult was and I was basically all over everything, I personally want to just break the bank and order so much shit from both of these companies because many of the pieces that they have really speak to me.

If you guys are into that L.A street wear style I think you definitely need to check out both of these brands, you'll like them.

No More Hoarding!!!

     Hey guys!! As I was packing to come home on this little vacation that I am currently on I started to realize that I had things that I don't wear and most likely I wasn't going to anytime soon, we can confidently say that I have been hoarding things for quite sometime now lol. I tell you, you never realize just how much shit you have until you have to pack it up and move it.

     The time has come for me to just let go and that's exactly what I plan to do...... for a small fee that is. Oh how I've missed you!

     Long time no see!!! this go-round it has truly been a long time since I've gotten on and talked to you guys about anything. I had to take a break, completely against my will due to some things that were happening the past month or so, lets just say I was quite OVER IT but I'm back now and ready to get to it!

     I am currently back in my hometown planning to spend the summer with friends and family and get back grounded before I return to Atlanta. During this time that I'm here I have a lot of things I'm trying to get the ball rolling on and I will for sure keep you guys posted on that. One of the things that I'm trying to do quite soon is re-vamp Deviant Attire and have it directly available to you guys from this site (as soon as figure out how to do it lol). I am also going to be selling some pieces from my closet that I will make a post for as well so stay tuned.

Bad Bitches Only!

Hey Guys!! As I'm sitting here multitasking, better yet procrastinating studying for this midterm tomorrow I had to get on here and talk about one of my Favorites in the fashion world who never ceases to give me life.

For the A/W 13' season Balmain has given me everything that I needed and more. Balmain is well known for their impeccable craftsmanship when it comes to leather, the razor-sharp shoulders of their jackets, and the overall badass-ness of the brand. A key technique that was seen again this season was weaving, different metallic leathers were woven together to create the appearance of tweed on some of the jackets in this collection. Exaggeration and edge were all over this runway and OPULENCE was the word of the evening #blingbling and more bling. This collection also featured booties donning a super slim tortoise shell heel and suede boots that gave a new definition to thigh-high. When asked if these hip-high boots were hard for the models to get into the houses designer Oliver Rousteing responded by saying;

"No, it's fine. At Balmain, everything is fine."

 

I must agree with you with Mr. Rousteing everything at Balmain is fine, including you:-).

 

PS. I need to own all of this AND I could  totally see Samantha from Sex in the City KILLIN' this whole collection.

Love is Love

Hey guys! I had to just get on here really quickly and share this with you. As I was looking for images to put into this presentation I'm giving on Monday I came across this article about two men, Tshepo Cameron Modisane and Thoba Calvin Sithole,  who recently got married in KwaDukuza which is a town in  KwaZulu-Natal,  South Africa. What is really amazing to me is they did it in the traditional African way (which was noted to be the first ever) with rituals, sacrifices, and even wearing the attire of the tribes they represent. I found this really inspiring it takes a lot of courage to do this especially in Africa where so many can be legally killed just for someone thinking they are gay. Tshepo (R) was quoted saying;

 "We see no reason to hide in darkness as if there is something to be ashamed about. Our marriage is largely symbolic and a sign that black gay men can commit and build family through a happy and loving marriage".

 The support from their family and friends speaks volumes and I hope they live an amazing life together, oh and did I mention they are both gorgeous!?

All about a Midi

Hey guys! So I have recently come across a new jewelry obsession, which came on after I painted my nails, this happens often. Its like I get pretty hands and I want to adorn them with amazing things. The obsession is the Midi-Rings. They are actually a big thing right now, well actually before now I am just adopting it late as I do with most things, until I decide if its a thing for me personally. As I have found out with my love for jewelry its never a trend its a more of a love for shiny things, similar to a ferret lol. So the midi-ring is one ring or it can be multiple in the case of the ones I have, that are worn in between your first two finger knuckles. The set of three that I have which I got from F21, one of my favorite places to grab accessories,  are gold, gunmetal, and silver spiked ones. I definitely stand behind this "trend" and I plan to get more if I find some that I love. I am also on the hunt to find all types of turquoise EVERYTHING!!
